First Date Recommendations
If you are getting ready to take someone on a first date, you may be wondering what you should do together. If you’ll just read a little further, you’ll pick up some ideas. Some are relatively inexpensive, some are more pricey, and some are a little more unique. No matter what you choose to do, you’re sure to have a wonderful time.
If you’re on a budget, you can take a picnic lunch to the beach, river, or park. Pack up some sandwiches, fruit, and drinks, and spend a day in the sun getting to know each other. If you choose to go to the beach, you could get a little closer by offering to put suntan lotion on each other!
If a day at the beach isn’t your style, grab your date and hit the movie theater. Let your date choose the movie, and get a big bucket of popcorn to share.
If you choose, you could invite your date to your home and cook them a nice, sit-down meal. Try cooking some Italian food, or if you’re a grill-master, steaks are always good. Have a bottle of wine chilled and ready to go. Don’t go nuts with the flowers and candles- you don’t want to seem clingy or desperate.
Or, you could cook a meal together- cooperating in the kitchen can be a great way to get to know each other a little.
Concerts and Broadway shows are also great date ideas, and choosing the right one can make a great first impression. If you aren’t a concertgoer, you can try other fun things like scuba diving or snorkeling, horseback riding, or you can take your date on a hot air balloon ride or go para-sailing (if you aren’t afraid of heights, that is!).
These are just a few first date ideas, and I’m sure you can come up with a lot more. Above all, on your date, relax, have fun and be yourself. Make a good impression on him or her, and you’ll soon be going on your second date!
